A fitting beginning
They have been on the market for decades – and are still modern. They evolve, adapt to the times, and are as unique as the spaces they inhabit: custom rugs. They are also the starting point and guidepost of our company.
What was used 170 years ago for royal households and the aristocracy is still relevant today. A true ANKER carpet. We've returned to our roots with a contemporary, modern twist. Our rugs are on par with our other textile floor coverings in terms of quality and durability – just a bit more flexible in shape and size, sometimes even in color and design. For more variety in your space.
Innovative from the start
When ANKER was founded in 1854, broadloom carpets were unheard of, making custom rugs the first textile floor covering we produced. Initially woven, later tufted, and colored using the warp yarn printing method, all with patterns hand-sketched by our in-house designers.
Alternatively, we also had designs created by renowned personalities such as artists Gustav Kurt Beck and Viktor Vasarely, as well as graphic designers and architects like Prof. Siegmund von Weech, Charlotte Gecks, and Elsbeth Kupferoth. And of course, Prof. Margret Hildebrandt, who designed our famous EXPO rug for the 1958 World's Fair in Brussels.
Uniquely versatile
Although custom rugs fell out of fashion for a while, we have preserved our expertise. Whether tufted or woven, loop or velour, we still produce our rugs in a wide variety of styles.

Latest trends and time-tested classics
Over 170 years, many designs, and patterns have been created. Our latest creation, VITURA, features printed velour design rugs in various patterns, shapes, and sizes, always perfectly suited to the space and its use.

For those seeking something truly special: Our design team comprises true masters of pattern creation, capable of conceiving and implementing unique designs.
