Producing premium polyamides and ridding the oceans of ghost nets in the process?

The Italian textile yarn company Aquafil does just that: it has been producing Econyl® from pre- and post-consumer waste since 2011. And we have been using the 100% recycled yarn for our textile floor coverings for just as long. Out of conviction. Because the polyamide has identical qualitative properties to newly produced nylon, but conserves resources.
