REFERENCE REPORT
Hotel Elysée Hamburg

Virtually anyone who has ever visited Hamburg …
… will be familiar with the Grand Elysée on Rothenbaumchaussee, close to the art nouveau Dammtor railway station. During one round of renovation work, the hotel management were keen on a bright, elegant and plain color for the design of the carpets.
For a total area of 16,000 square meters, they were looking for a delicate sandy yellow and a textile with the visual effect of a deep-pile wool – whilst also being dirt-resistant and easy to clean.
Working very closely with Hamburg-based furnisher Lübbers, ANKER accepted the challenge and quickly developed a new product – the ELYSÉE hotel collection – for this bespoke commission.
It combines the elegance, luxury, and comfort of a heat-set plain carpet material with the outstanding benefits of a pigment-dyed fiber. To great success.
As a result, the Grand Elysée Hotel lent its name to one of the most popular collections for the hospitality sector. After all, it has carved out a place at many other hotels on account of its bright, plain luxury velour.
