Research and development – they are omnipresent …

… at the science location, Braunschweig. This is also the case at the Villa von Bülow. For it is here, idyllically situated in a park by the river Oker, that the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media in the Georg Eckert Institute for International Textbook Research is based.

And with it, the world’s largest collection of textbooks, with over 183,000 media from 180 countries. For such an important and historic library, a real classic is of course also needed in terms of carpeting: PERLON RIPS by ANKER.

The Georg Eckert Institute has been conducting national and international textbook-related research with a focus on cultural studies and history for over 70 years. It also acts as the textbook center of the Council of Europe and ad­vises ministries, textbook publishers and academic institutions.

Since its inception, the Institute has continued to develop consistently, along with the library and its extensive stock of books from a wide range of subjects and disciplines. Due to the high demand for space in the future, the Georg Eckert Institute was renovated and expanded to include a modern library.
