The head office of the German National Meteorological Service …

… is the nerve center of an organization that employs around 900 people. Those responsible for building the new headquarters set great store by retaining the park-like character of the site, which measures more than 21,000 square meters, the aim being to meld modern architecture with the existing tree population.

The aim of architects BLFP Frielinghaus, who were entrusted with construction and interior design, was to ensure quality across the board. This ambitious goal was also reflected in the choice of suitable flooring. As both the client and the architects attached considerable importance to sustainability and durability – partly to save money over the flooring’s useful life – the ANKER PERLON RIPS collection was clearly the right carpet for the job.

PERLON RIPS was laid from rolls in the executive suite and in the form of 60 × 60 cm bitumen-backed tiles in other areas.
